This one might actually be good -
THE AMITYVILLE HORROR

Thanks Matt for scaring the crap outta me. Hopefully it will be as good as the trailer looks...but for some reason it reminds me of the trailer for the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre...which I HATED. That movie Darkness that's coming out on Christmas looks pretty scary though...

I'll see DARKNESS, but I'm very weary of horror films rated PG-13.

Me too...although sometimes I think the PG-13 makes the movie better because it forces the filmaker to rely on things besides gore and explicit violence. Which is one of the reasons I like The Ring. It didn't work out too well for The Grudge though. But I think Poltergeist is still one of the scariest movies ever..and that was PG.

Remember POLTERGEIST was made at a time where there was no PG-13 rating.

But yes, THE RING was a great flick and scared poo right out of me.

The Grudge was supposed to be horror? Are you kidding?

THE GRUDGE gets my vote for 2nd worst film of the year. (PASSION OF THE GIBSON being the 1st)

Well it would be unfair for me to judge Grudge too harshly, because I would suppose you'd need to stay awake for the whole film for a fair and balanced review. Suffice to say, it SUCKED.
It's hard to find a truly good laxative movie, though.

The Grudge was disgustingly horrible. But this looks entertaining.
