I just wanted to thank everyone for their good wishes and most important, the laughs. I will probably not be able to keep a straight face in the OR tomorrow ! Of course, the doctor won't be looking at my face. Laughter is the best medicine.

Critics were amazed at my relentless performance in the OR this morning. It was a Scientology surgery, so I had to be silent . I came home and I am fine and very tired. The drugs were wonderful and I think I propositioned the anesthesiologist.

I totally missed this thread. So a day late and a dollar short (like THAT's something new...), I am here to say glad everything went well! And now on to bigger things that will, um, make you smaller! When do you anticipate that surgery taking place?

Thanks for all your good wishes. Unfortunately, I am off painkillers and back to my usual self. Should I remain infection free over the next several weeks, I will be able to have the weight loss surgery.BTW.....There will be no movie version of YENTA DOES SURGERY.
