Yesterday’s Late Mid-Summer’s Night Minnelli Madness

Was silly fun, wasn’t it?

It was terrific to have so many posters simultaneously enjoying the laughs and the zaniness of the moment. No griping among one another, no tearing someone apart. Just a crazy time that happened because of itself. The result was one Minnelli relative after another, in rapid succession, being identified and connected and giving birth to another.

The OT board very quickly became overly cluttered and overrun with threads that contained nothing but a Minnelli title, crazy as they were. Some posters who weren’t on the same plane (i.e., crazy enough) to partake of the madness, felt a bit adrift. Even those who were participating were exhausted by the humor building to a crescendo. I had to step into the “Mojito” thread for a drink and to catch my breath.

All good things come to an end. And BWW management felt that the madness needed to stop, and so the craziness ended as quickly as it began.

For those of us who participated, it was terrific to laugh together. For those who weren’t there, or didn’t understand what was going on, well, you just had to be in the moment.

It was an invigorating melding of diverse personalities and lifestyles and ages and points of view, all riffing on the magic of the name Minnelli.

Keep humor in your lives, it's as important to life as breathing.

Screen caps of the Minnelli madness in my fan photos!

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

I haven't laughed that hard since I saw Marc Shaiman's Pick-A-Little Post-A-Little video!!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I thoughtit was great too. And Jose, you were right because we put aside all our griping and fighting just to take a humor break. It temporaraly brought folks together who would be otherwise be at each other's throats. Interesting how humor has that effect on people. We need more of this from time to time as it can be a great healer.

It was okay. Although I didn't realize it was making management do a slow burn. But really, Jose, you have a point that we put aside all our griping and fighting just to take a humor break. It temporaraly brought folks together who would be otherwise at each other's throats. Mostly because Rathnait wasn't here. Interesting how humor has that effect on people. We need more of this from time to time as it can be a great healer.

Since you posted the same thing at 10:40 and then again at 10:48, I figured, well, maybe three times is the charm and I'll help the girl out. I didn't PLAGIARIZE, I sampled.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
