If a picture is black and white, how do you make one section in color? I have a black and white picture and I want to make the Blue Eyes the only color in the pic.

Posted: 10/19/06 at 12:20pmZoom way in, trace the eyes with the lasso tool, and either fill in with a color you like or use the adjust hue/saturation/lightness tool to change the eye color. But you need to make sure you're converted the image to RGB color and it's not grayscale anymore.

also i would do the fill on a new layer.
makes it easier to try different colors.

make a new layer in black and white over the color layer and erase everything form the black and white layer that you want to be in color
