He says the sergeant explained that Hall would be "unable to put aside his personal convictions and pray with his troops" and would have trouble bonding with them if promoted to a leadership position."

The article also mentions something about the defense bringing up the concept of everyone supposedly being equal in the military. That should be news to all the gays who have been discharged.

Anyone dumb enough to join the army can't really complain too loud about having their rights trampled on.
