When you walk into the mall and there's Santa's Village, already set up.

It sickens me... Bath and Body Works almost blinded me with their flashy white light christmas tree poster.

But when it starts to get chillier at night time, and you drive in your car around 6ish and everything is dark, and there is that wintery smell and feeling. No..?

When you walk into the mall in early November and a store is playing Christmas music.

I almost walked out in protest, but I alreay had a giftcard. And I didn't buy a sweater, or a sparkly "holiday" shirt, or a scarf. I bought a belt (plain black with studs, no snowflakes).

I know its Christmas is coming when:

It is getting darker earlier and there is that chill in the air,
When it's a Friday afternoon in Manhattan and the department stores are mobbed
And when all of the lights are put up in Manhattan.

I actually had a "Christmas is so soon" moment the other day with my mom. We were on the west side having dinner, and we went shopping, and there was just that feel and I got so happy. Then we went home and had hot chocolate :)

the other day i went into starbucks and it was completely decorated with holiday decorations. I was like they skipped a holiday, hulloo.. we need to show some thanksgiving love :)

I am sorry to say that I know Christmas is coming when it is not yet Halloween and the Christmas decorations are going up in a number of stores in Manhattan.

When one is Christmas starts-around-December-20th-and-ends-on December-27th kind of guy, it is very disheartening to see the merchandising of Christmas happening sooner and sooner every year.

I won't even go into a store until December 23rd.

This thread should be put on ice until after December 15th.
