Young Nathan Lane/Dana Carvey Interview (1981)

Found this and had to share. Dana Carvey and Nathan Lane (then, two unknowns) doing an interview for a tv station, promoting their sitcom "One of the Boys" starring Mickey Rooney (which bombed).

So interesting and fun to see two established stars like them at such early points in their careers.

Awesome interview! It was more of them just going on and doing their thing, but it's amazing how they just are who they are. They work so well together. Why waste it all on a sitcom--I'd just watch them hang out on a couch and talk about random things.

I agree. I always find Nathan to be most entertaining when he's on a talk show or just being interviewed. Wish he could have gotten his own talk show. I was on the short list of people campaigning to take over for Conan, but they went for the young crowd with Jimmy Fallon. :/
