RUNNING WITH SCISSORS - After that trailer, I'm convinced it's in good hands.
THE FOUNTAIN - Aronofsky is a genius. A GENIUS!
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION - Because Christopher Guest branching out into non-mockumentary territory is very cool indeed, and the fact that Ricky Gervais is in it is even cooler.
THE GOOD SHEPERD - The return of Joe Pesci!

Count me in for "Lady in the Water." I'm almost afraid to see the movie, the trailer is just the most beautiful and anticipatory one I ever saw--it looks kind of like "E.T." with a creepy edge.

Posted: 12/30/05 at 6:01pmi'm excited to see Lady in the Water also. When I saw the trailer, I was like "woah." I'm also excited for Superman Returns, The Da Vinci Code, and Pirates of the Carribean. Hopefully, the Pirates sequel won't be screwed up like most Disney movie sequels.

The Fountain and The Da Vinci Code. For those who are interested, here's the new DVC trailer - I've got mixed-to-bad feelings about this.

(By the way, he's the link to the current and somewhat controversial Newsweek article where Ron Howard reveals that Jacques Chirac was championing his daughter's close friend for the role of Sophie - rumor has it that this friend was one Miss Sophie Marceau, who I have always maintained would have been perfect for the role. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10509652/site/newsweek/ )

"Superman Returns" because Brandon Routh is gorgeous and really my type
"The DaVinci Code" because I loved the book
"X-Men III " and "The Fountain" because, come on...it's Hugh !
"Pirates of the Carribean 2" because i really enjoyed the first one !
These are the ones that come to mind right now.

Snakes on a Plane sounds hysterical, in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. The title alone wins it about 10,000 funny points.

I was going to say X3 but my resentment over not getting hired for it has outweighed my anticipation. ![]()
Plus that trailer has kind of scared me off.

Posted: 12/31/05 at 10:16amSCISSORS. But I'm terrified they won't get Burroughs. His tone may be damned near impossible to put on film. But Annette Benning's take on the mother -- reason alone to check it out.

THE FOUNTAIN - Aronofsky is the best up-and-coming filmmaker.
APOCALYPTO - Dig that cinematog
SICKO - Michael Moore may be biased but his films are ridiculously well-made
RUNNING WITH SCISSORS - Loved the book. Love Nip/Tuck.
SNAKES ON A PLANE - Obvious.
