Sorry, but Mary-Louise has been one of my favorites since "Prelude To A Kiss" and while I don't know the whole story, let's just say I've cooled to Mr. Crudup's charms for the time being.

I was curious about Mr. Crudup's Elephant Man.
And by the way, THANK YOU Margo for introducing the thought of the EVIL Page 6 - I had to go and see who you were referring to on Fire Island - and then I had to read the whole evil page - THANKS

I was very underwhelmed with Crudup's Elephant Man and his Angelo in Measure For Measure around the same time -- very lukewarm performances lacking in passion and energy. I saw Phillip Anglim's original Elephant Man and Crudup's wasn't in the same league (even taking into account that it was a markedly different interpretation of the role). Oddly, his performances have seemed to grow weaker with each successive play since his brilliant debut in ARCADIA. He was also quite good in BUS STOP, but lackluster in everything since.
I'm very curious about PILLOWMAN as well -- perhaps I'll have forgiven him enough by Spring to be willing to see the play with him in it.
I'm seeing RECKLESS Wednesday and looking forward to seeing MLP again (been hearing iffy things about it -- very mixed reactions to it over on ATC).
And DGrant, You're WELCOME -- one of us, one of us, one of us..............
