my allergy meds. That is what I have to go through before I can get an allergy test. I am going to die. I live in the #1 worst city in the whole country for allergies and they are developing in to asthma. If I dispear you guys know what happened lol
Is there nothing you can do to get the meds?
I have to go without them so they are out of my system so that they can do the allergy test. If they are in my system then something I am allergic to may not show up on the test.
do you/they think there's more than just cat you're allergic to?
Ah, so it's for the greater good. Maybe you should invest in a plastic bubble for the week?
yeah I know I am allergic to more than cats. Last summer I went to the park, I was going to go jogging. I had not even stretched yet alone begun to workout and I started wheezing and could not breathe. It scared my husband to death. I had a full blown asthma attack. He got me back in the car and I was able to get over it once I was out of the open air. By the time I got to the doctor the attack was over and the stupid twit said it was a panic attack-wtf?!? So I am going to go to a real allergist and see what she says.
And I will gladly live in a plastic bubble as long as I have my pc, showtunes, and my hubby in there with me
Sounds horrible. I never had the slightest allergy until I moved to the United States. I suffer at this time of year; but this year is worse than ever. Of course, there are far more trees in this country (at least the eastern part of it), than there are in England.
ConvinceMe- When I went to England I didn't sneezed once. It was amazing. Over here though, it is almost all I do this time of year.
Today is day one without meds. I am inside and I am all stuffy. We have to go walk around campus for class today and I am going to die...UK's campus is covered in flowering trees

allergy testing was never fun. I had to get allergy shots once a week for ten years. 5 of those years, i had to recieve two shots each time.
I was tested for about 60 allergies and came back is allergic to over 50 of them.. and the testing was awful.. take off your shirt.. lie down... they cover your back with permanent marker dots that correspond to a chart, then put a dot of syrum on each dot, then ****the skin on each of the, if you have a reaction and become red and swollen on the dot, you have tested positive. Whatever you did not tested positive for was immediately tested again.. this time on your arms.
I had that done several times and always walked out of there cold, itchy and looking like a science project.

I love my allergy medication over the counter Claritin, it tastes like mint too! Sorry to hear that kelrel. I hate allergies. And I am allergic to grass!
bg2..I can walk out looking like Frankenstein for all I care. I just have to get rid of my allergies, or at least get them treated
Ugh, I'm sorry. I've had to do that a million times. It's definitely not fun, and less fun to be off the meds for a week.
I still have to get three allergy shots - two in one arm, one in the other every other week. I've been getting them since I was about four.
You can't really get rid of them, though. I've tried to stop getting shots, but I got really sick and had to go back on. I'm sort of dependent now, just to be a little bit sniffly is the norm.
Thread jack...but still..Emcee you neglected to formally welcome someone who is well on their way to becoming a Legend. OnTheAisle said he got no Emcee welcome and feels left out lol
Em I feel so bad for you for taking all of those shots. I couldn't imagine it. I hope I do't have to take that many
Eh, eventually you get used to it. They're small needles, anyway, and they really do help a LOT.
I gave him a belated welcome on that Main Board thread!
