Does anyone know of a good acting school/teacher/organization in Washington, DC? I have heard that acting classes can help with being more confident in social settings. I'm 24, so I'm looking for something age-appropriate. Thanks for any suggestions!

Wooley Mammoth Theatre offers some classes that some friends have spoken highly of. Check their web site. Studio Theatre may offer some too. At the community theatre level, I think Little Theatre of Alexandria offers some.

Some of the local universities may offer some stuff as well.

The Washington Improv Theater has adult improv classes. Several of my colleagues attend and they love it!! Seems to help with their confidence as well.

The Shakespeare Theatre also offers many different classes.
