Of course I want BW to sell advertising space - - but those advertisments blinking
on and off in all kinds of colors are hurting my eyes - - am I the only one?

you may be the only only that does not know the difference between "ads" and "adds".
The "ads" are annoying.
He "adds" up the column of numbers.
the ads don't bother me, as I just ignore them.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...
