wow, it took much longer than anticipated for the requisite vicious personal attack from the queen of victimhood on the left. rather than seeing an example of a republican who can point out flaws in his own party (a concept i keep waiting to see demonstrated on the left), the bitterest little pill on bww chooses to crank up the vitriol. keep up the good work, pj. i can only hope that the democratic party follows your example in '06. it would be nice to see a filibuster-proof majority in the senate.

Pappa, admitting you have a problem is at least the first step towards recovery.

Actually, in LA, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico, you could get a lot of people of both parties to support the action. I am not saying it is right, but just speaking the sentiments of many.

I personally found the whole Terri Schiavo mess equally, if not more disgusting.

idiots......I know of NO country that does NOT grant citizenship to babies born in their country.......Even a child born to an American Ambassador in say Austria, may claim dual citizenship, if they so choose.......

Oh, and as The New York Times recently reported, the incompetence of the immigration courts has become so dazzling that appeals courts decisions are actually being rude in response. Then there's the long-time horrors of INS detention centers. Oh, American immigration. Makes me so gosh-darned proud of this country I could puke.

Plum, the whole immigration issue is a mess.

I don't blame folks for wanting to come here.

I blame the government for permitting big business to pay these people slave wages, thereby depressing wages in general. People are being exploited and treated like a commodity that can be traded. These are people for goodness sake, not pieces on a monopoly board.

The Republicans don't want to enforce the laws, or require business to pay workers a reasonable wage because it affects profits. These employers should be prosescuted.
