I read it with complete pessismism as well. Of course this can only be conjecture. If it were real and WMDs were found, the Bush Campaign would have already put out presidential campaign commercials touting it...every news channel in America would be broadcasting it, even Rummy would be back in the spotlight.

unless they're keeping it secret until it can be independently confirmed by the iaea at which point they can make a huge splashy announcement in primetime during the dnc convention. hey, these tin foil hats are damned comfortable.

or jfk2 could decide to do a series of highly publicized speeches and bore the country to the point that they vote bush rather than spend four years asleep while the johns sell the us of a to france and germany in exchange for a big smile from jaques chirac, joschka fischer and kofi annan.
