another audition song idea request thread....

hey...I looked around and couldn't find a current thread for this although I know I've seen one somewhere around here before. sorry in advance- but does anyone have footloose audition song ideas? I've read on here to either go w/ 80s pop or a pop-ish musical. I'm more into the idea of doing something from a show....i guess i'm just skeptical of actual pop songs at auditions. so anyone have some good song choices?

I auditioned for footloose last spring and used "My strongest Suit" from Aida. The audition earned me the role of Rusty in the show!

yea i was thinking one of the more uptempo songs from aida would be a good idea

for those who've done the show....which parts are least dance intensive?

what do you mean?? I havedont the show, and most of the show is dancing, well, with the ensemble parts its mostly dancing.

Least dancing roles:

Ethel McCormic: Ren's mother
Vi Moore: The reverand's wife

In my production the cast was divided by age group and the kids always danced and the adults didn't. The parts above don't dance much at all in the show.
