That skit summed up my career in show biz.

I think it started:

Jellyroll with a FIIIIII!!!

saw a recent comment on the show, how Rusty the choreographer puts the dancer thru the most humiliating audition experience, and yet it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.

What that writer didn't realize was how true it was to an actual audition process. Especially the closing line. After thanking the dancer, who leaves, the producers sit in stoney silence for a few seconds. Then one quickly says: "alright Rusty we'll hire your wife".


I can't count how many times my husband has waited all day for me at a callback, while they dance me, sing me, dance me again, make me sing duets w/ the leading man, measure me, blah blah blah, only to find out later that the director/producer/box office manager's significant wife/sister/daughter/parole officer got the job..

ah nepotism - where would show biz be with out it?

I loved the "Sobriety Test" sketch whee she gets pulled over by a cop and the sobriety test turns into a challenge tap dance number!
