he made me so damp and squirmy during my adolescence. Hey 5 TIMES on Circus of the Stars. Kojak. Medical Center. game shows. Fantasy Island. The Gun & the Pulpit. Earthquake. so notorious. Who WOULDN'T have turned such a beautiful child into a con artist cash cow?

Marjoe (named after Mary and Joseph) Gortner was one creepy dude.

I remember when he used to appear on Sunday TV shows as the world's youngest preacher.

I can remember being 13 and wishing he would lay hands on ME. I didn't need healing, but I sher would feel SOMETHING.

He does college lectures nowadays and says he can still make people fall down and speak in tongues, even tho neither he nor his audience believe in the "Holy Ghost". It's a form of hypnosis, a skill he was taught as a child.
