Luckily, both are married to light sleepers with big mouths who will waste no time grabbing the receiver.
But really, is this a sufficient leadership test? I mean, come on, I wanna know which candidate is ready for the 3 a.m. call on DAY ONE. Or the 2:30 a.m. call the night BEFOREe day one. Or 12:01 a.m. January 19th, when the new red phone hasn't even been installed yet. I mean, these are tough times, people, and we're talking Commander in Chief here. Who's ready to take The Call on his or her CELL PHONE?! What will he or she do when he or she doesn't recognize the caller ID? With an Afghanistan area code?! Which one will just get pissed and hit "ignore?" I mean, these are questions that must be asked. Hopefully, LONG before whatever happens in Pennsylvannia changes the world as we know it.
