Oh, Drama. I don't know if you're in New York City or not, but there is some AMAZING hot chocolate available here. There's some trifling good stuff at Chocolate Bar, but the best places I've found (thanks to a couple of intelligent friends) are City Bakery (which also does the amazing homemade marshmallow on top) and also Jacques Torres' Chocolate Haven.
Give them a try. Yum.

You think the hot chocolate is good - you should try their Tahitian Vanilla Martini mix! If you are old enough to indulge, give it a whirl. I bet you could even squeeze one of those marshmallows into it!

On Christmas day, my mother made homemade hot chocolate. It was absolutely heavenly. The next day when we were about to leave for the airport, she brought me my Starbucks travel tumbler full of it. (It was gone long before the plane ride.) She loves me.

The best hot chocolate I've ever had was in the town of Bruges, Belgium--at the railway station, no less! It was a damp and rainy day, so when I saw the sign in the window advertising "Warm Chocolate", I jumped at the chance to try it. It was delicious. I've never had anything like it before or since.

I always got the hot chocolate at The Automat when I was a kid. It was the best and was more bittersweet and dark.
