nothing nasty here, just the best barbaque sauce i've ever tasted
if you haven't tried this, go buy some. they sell it at whole foods. i dont usually like barbaque sauce but this stuff is amazing.
we made turkey burgers last night with it, and i've been using it like ketchup to dip fries in.
Agreed WAY YUMMY!
yay another fan!
i think i've gained about 5 pounds since we bought it beacuse i just keep making things like fries and tater tots to dip in it. haha.

I am heading to Whole Foods in just a few minutes and I am making a pork tenderloin for dinner. I will get some of that sauce!
Are you on the gluten free diet, Norn?
n69n, i eat gluten free too :)
i have tons of recipies if you ever need any!
Hey Abba, do you have a good recipe for like a chicken breading to make nuggets? I am wanting to try some new things for the little guy I live with. He always eats the same 5 or 6 foods because of the autism. He loves things that are made fresh.
yes i do actually!
i'll pm it to you :)

It's recommended for many kids with autism. A lot of people have trouble digesting gluten and don't even realize it. In the kids with autism that are effected by it, it effects their brains like a morphine. Many parents try their kids on the diet and give up because it's not easy at all and it doesn't effect all kids the same. One kid I work with is HIGHLY effected. Within minutes of consuming anything with gluten, his pupils get HUGE and he gets the giggles. Later he will get a horrible stomach ache. Of course, bread is his favorite thing on the planet. When his parents first took him off gluten they still had bread in the house. A piece fell on the floor and he dove for it. His mom grabbed it and threw it away. When she turned around, he was on the floor trying to lick up any crumbs that might be left. Carb addiction is REAL, people! lol
The autism community loved McDonald's because they claimed their fries were gluten free. (Many blended oils add gluten.) Turns out they were wrong. People are suing.

gluten intolerance is often misdiagnosed as "irritable bowel syndrome" & some think that it is purposefully misdiagnosed to sell more medicines.
all my life i would get HORRIBLE, PAINFUL stomach cramps (i mean like not being able to walk cramps). drs told me that it was either all in my mind, or i was simply eating too much or too fast. it wasnt until i went to an allergist that i was diagnosed.
they say that 1 in 7 people have it, & most dont know it.
Abba, did you know that Annie's is now making a gluten free mac & cheese?

for cereal i like panda puffs!
ive been meaning to go to risoterria on tuesdays for their special gluten-free pasta night!
The little dude I cook for is dairy free as well. He can have soy, though. I don't even know what the brand name is, but there is one pasta that comes in a bag that he loves. He likes to go to Whole Foods and pick out the shape he wants that week. It's cute. I have made him mac & cheese with rice milk and tofutti cheese...lol. He loves it, but I just don't think I could do it.
If they could make a cereal that looks similar to Froot Loops I would be in heaven. He asks for Froot Loops every time we go to the market. I think kids eat them at school and he can't. I know they coculd never replicate those colors naturally. I think we buy him Koala puffs cereal? He really doesn't eat it much, but I can make him rice crispy treats out of them. WHY WHY WHY do they add wheat to rice crispies?
Bell & Evans is making a really good gluten free breaded frozen chicken now.
(We should change the thread title to The Gluten Free thread...lol)

there is a gluten free version of rice crispies at whole foods :) it's called rice twice.
we also buy gluten free bread crumbs there to make meatballs and meatloaf.
allergygrocer.com is an awsome website for looking for foods. you can search the foods based on what foods you can't have. they have non dairy non gluten cheese crackers that are pretty good
