this is a question for everyone who has seen "brokeback mtn" - my grandmother wants to go see it and i would take her, but...

i know the movie isnt all about gay cowboy sex, it's about loneliness and longing and separation - however, after reading some posts on here im just wondering how graphic their first "encounter" is?

it's not as bad (or good, however you look at it) as "buckle-roos", is it?

Don't f*ck with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo.

your grandmother is an adult....take her.
It is graphic, does not show penetration, but it is implied.

The sex scene is not so much graphic as it is intense. There's no nudity, but it's all shot in one take, which gives it an immediacy and naturalness. There's a bit of grunting, pulling of clothes, and some squishy noises, if you know what I mean.

Imagine if it showed penetration. What a film it would be then.

Speaking of John Cameron Mitchell's next project, SHORTBUS, how far is it in development?

Considering she has grandkids and so has been around the block before, I'd say she won't be too shocked.

Right. If you grandmother wants to see it and she's heard about the movie, then there's no reason that you should hesitate to take her.

Just wanted to point out there are a few heterosexual sex scenes as well. You can see breasts- I'm guessing this wouldn't be a big issue but just thought it should be said.

It's really not that graphic... or as graphic as it could be. Like others have said, there's not even any nudity. I would also call it more intense (very intense) than I would graphic. It's silent, save for a few grunts and some sharp breathing. Very animalistic.
