JustAGuy - you must be confused - bad things only happen when Democrats are in power.

Interesting though - no listings for Bush 1. As much as I disliked some of what he stood for, I would take him in a heartbeat over his son.

Well, if you want to split hairs...the 1st World Trade Center attack occured a month after Clinton took office. So I suppose that could be blamed on Bush Sr. But, I don't want to be accused of...but..but..but BUSH!

If I'm not mistaken...didn't the Berlin Wall come down during the administration of Bush Sr.?? So, I guess credit has to go to him for ending the Cold War as well? It's so hard to keep track of all the wonderful deeds those Republican Gods have done through the ages.

No, it was Reagan who said "Tear down that BITCH of a wall, Mr. Gorbachev. This isn't my first time on the radio"... or something like that.

I am constitutionally incapable of remembering a Reagan quote verbatim.

Reagan may have spoken those words. But, the Wall didn't start to come down until November of 1989 a full 10 months after he left office.

But since he was such a wonderful man, he got the credit for it. Remember how the Repubs tried to slap his name all over everything? Ronald Reagan Airport...Ronald Reagan AIDS Research Center (Well maybe not that one).

Ah yes, the tributes were everywhere. One of my favorites was the Ronald Reagan - Ketchup is a Vegetable Memorial Garden. The memory of seeing those ketchup bottles still on the vine is something I'll never forget.

President Reagan = brought American hostages home from Iran =

traded arms for hostages and encouraged terrorism by rewarding the taking of hostages. Then sold arms to Iran to fund illegal contras in Nicaragua and death squads in El Salvador.

BTW - President Clinton helped end the genocide in Europe. You would think that might just count for something.

I'm not that articulate about political issues... but wasn't Clinton president during the longest economic expansion during peace time? Oh yeah, and he took care of the deficit.
