Undi, no, I was being discreet. but the breakfast is most certainly NOT on me.

Cookie, YES! TEA AND SYMPATHY! I adore it. Unfortunately, like so many things in NYC (Lombardi's anyone?), the tourists have caught wind of it. Tea and Sympathy is teensy and can't handle the influx. So the wait is generally unbearable. But we must venture forth and try it sometime soon anyway.
And I love Porto Rico. And Empire Coffee. I will shill for them anytime.

well, having their own cookbook didn't help them, I guess... what really sucks is that when one is in the mood for tea (during cooler and colder weather) the wait is truly unbearable, because who wants to wait outside in that kind of weather? But when it is warmer, who wants to drink hot tea? Their scones, clotted cream, and raspberry preserves are divine...
