Blue is one of the shorter wavelengths of the visible spectrum, so it scatters more... hence, when your picture is taken, chances are, the blue of your eyes won't show up in pics that well, unless it's a huge expanse (which just reflects the scattering better) of blue such as the sky or a body of water.

Intriguing, COokie. They do always look better when shot in black and white.
And I just looked through every single photo of me and, at best, they typically look hazel and they're anything but that, you know.

Lwyr, I didn't look at the mirror much today, but I also sat on my butt at my desk all doing nothing and could see my reflection in the window in the door.
