Posted: 7/10/06 at 1:04pmSeriously, all that was missing was the flashing neon sign. Had the man been detained, people would scream "Civil Rights!" Had the man not been stopped, the media would have labeled everyone involved "imbeciles". This way, the TSA insured themselves some positive, if sketchy, press complete with fingerpointing and paranoia, but utlimately resolving in a somewhat comforting way that allows us to be worried and relieved at the same time. It sure was convenient that the Houston Chronicle was able to lay hands on that "confidential TSA report". *WINK-WINK*

PS - I believe it was more like dropped into open hands than anything else.
