Posted: 12/4/04 at 7:05pmIs there a way you can keep your computer from 'remembering' what you've searched for and what sites you've been to? I thought there was a setting you can change, but I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Posted: 12/4/04 at 7:13pmWhat you can do is clear out your cookies and temporary internet files. Go to Internet options. Under Temporary Internet Files is a button that says "Delete Cookies" and one that says "Delete Files." You can click on both to get rid of those things. What you can also do is to reduce your temporary internet file storage. You do that by going to Internet options, clicking on "settings" and use the little scroller to decrease the amount of mb that are available to store temp files. Hope that helps!

Posted: 12/4/04 at 7:15pmThanks so much, but I'm afraid to try that. How do I know I won't delete something important? Is there a way to keep it from remembering sites at all?

But depending on how much space you use for storage can take a LONG time. Um, as far as the remembering, I'm not quite sure, but I can ask one of my cp expert friends and PM u once I know.

Thanks!
I just want to make my computer not remember what I've googled and what sites I've been too. My parents aren't entirely ok with my posting on message boards, so I'd rather they not see the sites listed.
