I watched the lift off live. I remember seeing the first flight as a kid.
Also, I saw shuttle on top of a 747 flying over Omaha in the late eighties.

What year is it again? Oh yeah, it's 2005. Space travel's as common as driving a car.
There's no need to get so excited over this.

captain, space travel is not as common as driving a car....the space program has suffered numerous setbacks due to problems.......just having these fly again is an event
