Maybe major in dance but minor in something like voice or theater? If you want to be better at dance than all the others majoring in musical theatre might focus more on acting/voice depending on the school, so you might just have to visit the schools and see for yourself. Sorry I'm not of more help! I do know that my dance teacher's cousin is at Point Park University right now majoring in Dance and she gets to work with famous choreographers and stuff, so I think that's a good school to consider if you do decide to major in dance!

BwayBoy25.....I believe I'm in the same boat you are! I will be a freshmen this fall at Point Park University....and I will be a dance Major. I plan to stick with the dancing...but If I find out i'm in the wrong program I could switch over to Musical Theater. But I was planning on doing MT classes on the side.

i am definitely a stronger singer and actress than a dancer.. but have done choreography before... i can pick up fast.. but calling myself a dancer.. would be a stretch from the truth... so now that i'm entering college.. and want to pursue Musical theatre... should i take basic dance lessons or a class? in addition to voice lessons???

You should definitely take dance classes along with voice lessons. Being versitile & well rounded is important. Improving on your weaknesses AND your strengths will only make you a better performer!
