dont spend money on thursday

this Thursday, we need everybody to scrape by without spending one single penny all day. This is a huge movement around the US to strike a huge blow to corporate America on the day of Bush's inauguration.
Do whatever you might the day before to prepare, but please don't spend a dime on January 20th. Imagine if the worst day for the American economy in decades happened on the same day that Bush sspends $40 million to throw himself an inauguration party. It could send a huge message and grab headlines around the entire world. Band together to send the strongest message possible, the message of the almighty dollar!

that's right, i think that you should stay home too because if you use public transportation that's just contributing to the big mta corporate fat cats. although it does help with the environment, but it's still much, much, much worse than riding your bikes, so ride your bikes if you have to leave your residence on thrusday and remember stay out of manhattan because just entering manhattan is like handing the gop your money.

no way, margo! studies have shown that panhandlers often use that money for food and drink without even bothering to consult buyblue.com or any similar websites. it's atrocious the way they just spend their money any old place. giving to panhandlers is just like sliding it into georgie's pocket. the change, i mean.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Don't spend money on Thursday, so what ... spend it on Wednesday or Friday instead? Please!

I'm sure President Bush will enjoy his day just the same on Thursday whether you spend money or not - it will only impact the fools who don't spend for the day, and absolutely nobody else.

People like to protest without actually disrupting their lives too much. It makes them feel righteous and it's convenient.

Here's a better idea. Take the money you don't spend on Inauguration Day and donate it to the ACLU. That way you'll actually be doing something, but you won't have to break a nail in the process.
