Last summer, at the B & B we stayed at on Kauai, there was one day when the 7 guests staying there took over the owner's kitchen and spent all day preparing a dinner for that evening. Then, the owners invited some of their friends from the island over, and we all had this great impromptu party. It was a perfect way to spend time with people from around the world, and enjoy the lives of the locals.
