Wow! I love crazy animal stories-- I was too busy being feted yesterday to post my local animal story:
Police in Wonder Lake IL arrested a woman for driving while intoxicated when they investigated an accident at a local grade school. She had been on her way to pick up her ten year old daughter when she ran her car up on a sidewalk near the school. Police suspected she was drunk and she failed a sobriety test. She was also charged with animal cruelty when police discovered her chihuahua Chico was also in the car and also drunk. She claimed the erractic-acting dog was having an epileptic seizure, but the dog threw up in a police car and police could smell the alcohol. Tests proved their suspicions were correct. As the woman protested, a police officer told her "Ma'am, you're drunk....and your little dog, too!!!"
