Hey all.
I'm looking at going to grad school in the states when I'm done my undergrad (Bachelor of Music in voice, with a concentration in drama).
I'm having a hard time finding grad schools for theatre or music theatre (probably because I'm not looking in the right place). A lot of universities seem to have grad schools for writing and technical production, but not acting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
*edit* I've managed to find classical voice grad schools no problem, however I'm leaning more towards music theatre than opera, and would like to find a school suited to this path. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 05:11 PM

NYU has an MM in musical theatre (it's basically a vocal degree) in the Steinhardt School of Education.
It's overpriced and, while the undergrad program is EXCELLENT, the grad program surprisingly takes a back seat to the undergrads. So you'll basically end up with an awesome student loan debt for not a lot of training.
San Diego State University offers an MFA in Musical Theatre performance. Also a two year program, they are bi-annual. They take a new class every two years and usher them through, then accept a new class. Not sure when the next new class begins. I think Fall of 2005.
Boston Conservatory also once offered an MM in Musical Theatre but I have heard they canned it.
UNLV offers an MFA that was once musical theatre but is now classical acting.
There are tons of legit theatre graduate degrees, but a lot less graduate ones.
I also believe University of Central Florida is beginning an MFA in Musical Theatre program.
