heavy metal~STOP ABUSING IT

all the people who are talkin bout heavy metal seem to hate it and i REALLY DONT KNOW WHY. This is my favorite kind of music after broadway. i mean that person(i forget who. i just remember the comment) who said that heavy metal was simply people who were saying "i'm gonna die, i'm gonna die"(or at least the comment was something like that) has never heard real metal. I mean, metal has got the good lyrics, not the little pop lyrics about falling in love then getting dumped then crying over it. I mean c'mon! listen to korn, alice in chains, whatever and actually pay attention to the lyrics.

I've got a sister who listens to heavy metal, and I don't like it myself. Just a personal opinion.

And I personally wouldn't classify Korn and AiC as "heavy metal". I'd be GLAD to send you what my sister listens to , all that stuff with the screaming and depressive lyrics. (most if it, anyway)

Yes, some bands don't always do that, but I think that it's just someone's personal preference whether they like it or not. I mean, sure, I'm bummed that my friends don't like showtunes much, and they say that it's 'cheesy' and 'boring', but they can have their opinion. I can see where they're coming from. (well, not really but...i used to think like that a looong time ago)

dude, ok so some of aic and korn's songs aren't heavy metal. ever heard y'all want a single? my gawd that's the best. anyway i'm not saying anything. that's just the stuff i like. i wouldn't exactly classify that stuff as punk rock tho.

I think what he was referring to was "death metal". Quite a different offshoot of original metal. Not really into it, but can appreciate the classic metal.

OK OK OK. i get the point. opinions are fine. i just felt like expressing my own opinions on music and my kinds of music. i feel fine about everybody elses opinion. i know peeps who like metal, but most peeps think i'm a nerd cos of the b-way stuff. i'm the first person i know who likes both metal and b-way. just felt like shoutin it! not neccesarily at the peeps on the board but at the peeps who think b-way is weird(who will never see this post because they will never be on this site) and i was just feeling frustrated wit all my friends.
