thanks! it was a really awesome game. we call it the celebrity game. we play against the celebrity team, which usually included TV and radio people from CT, sometimes we have paralympic athletes on the celeb team, kids from varsity high school hockey teams... but they have to play in sleds. two of the people on our team are in the jr. paralympics this year, and they ended up on the celeb team lol
here's a few more =]
my friend damon (he's a radio DJ) was on the other team. durring warmups he yelled to my mom "now take a picture of my punching your kid in the head" haha
then he gave up about half way through and tried to take me as a hostage. he went into the sound booth and became the announcer after that (he's really funny too, so it added alot to the game)
the ONLY way to carry both the sled, and a bag full of hockey gear at the same time lol

i totally did. i love the two pictures after the game was over where my hair is all messed up.
this is the one game a year where we just have fun on the ice... all our other games are either league games or tournaments. it always draws a huge crowd because the TV and radio people plug it like crazy for us, and brings in several thousand dollars every year.
what was really cool this year, which we weren't expecting, was someone bought tickets to the game and gave them to the physical rehab department of the children's hospital, and after the game, we got the little kids into sleds and skated around with them for a bit. i really wish my mom had gotten some pictures of that... the kids were adorable! they all looked like bobble-head dolls because they wore our helmets and they were huge on them =]
