JOHN LITHGOW
I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

I've seen CATS four times:
October 1998: touring cast
June 2000: on Broadway, with most of the final cast :)
June 2003: touring cast
May 2004: dinner theater (to see a good friend play Mungojerrie)
I'm planning to go see the Boulder Dinner Theater's version because they've had rave reviews.

I'm seeing Rent again on the 29th, touring cast.
"During this performance, please feel free to let your cell phones and pagers ring willy-nilly. However, do remember that there are heavily-armed knights on stage and you might well be dragged up and impaled."
(Pre-curtain announcement at the new Broadway musical Monty Python's Spamalot)

I hear it's overrated. But I figured you were hip and "with it" as the kids say.

Chicago I've seen ::mumblemumble:: times. My most frequent cast (a/k/a 'the one I plan to see') includes Donna Marie Asbury as Velma, Charlotte D'Amboise as Roxie, and...I haven't seen any one Billy too frequently, though am in love with Brent Barrett so we'll add him.
I saw Cabaret about 22 times, most of it free (ushering), most of it being the final cast.
After that would come 42nd St and The Full Monty, with honorable mentions (3+ viewings) for Kiss Me, Kate and Rocky Horror.

Rent - 5x
Wicked - 2x
I don't see broadway shows frequently enough to repeat them any more than I already have.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell
