There are three iPods in my house. I have purchased all of them. I downloaded iTunes. I created an account in which they can buy music. I buy all of accessories. I create the playlists and sync their music.
Guess what? I do not have an iPod.
Man, you're one cool daddy.

Cool? No, a fool. Why has no one in this house cared about the fact that I do not have an iPod?
Do they know that you want one?
I don't have an iPod, but I don't want one.

Kids' brains just don't work like that...you have to drop the hint, you know, "Those iPods are pretty cool, I wish I had something to listen to my music on." Frequently.
Does Mrs. Brd know you want one? I would think she could then plant the idea in the kids heads.
My dad was always very blunt with me, lol. He lets me know what he wants in advance, that way there is never that awkward tie or wallet moment.
I don't have a father, so that's one less holiday to worry about.

WBF, no, they do not get it! Maybe Dad wants an iPod.
MT, there is never any pressure on Mrs. Brd on Father's Day, a card is enough.
SM2 - I will see my father next week, he will be 80 soon. He lost his father when he was ten and I appreciate his presence at a late age, sorry about the loss of your father.
Make that two fathers, but who's counting?
