iTunes/RealPlayer ?

How do I make iTunes (on my DELL) the default player?
People are sending me files that I can not find on iTunes.
It seems that RealPlayer is the default at present.
I'm not technically adept at music downloading>
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

After you install a program, there's usually a box that asks if you want to set ______ as your default player..

I'm on a Mac, so I am not completely sure how to do it, but it's possible that there's something you can select in Control Panel. Exactly what, I do not know.

If you simply would like to open your MP3 files on iTunes, do LPF's #3. Right click the file, and go to Open With. You should see an option for iTunes there.

However, if you want all MP3 files to open with iTunes, right click the file>Open With>Other.. A window will come up, with an option to check something like, "Always open using this program." Check that, and then 'Open With' iTunes.

Keep in mind that this doesn't make iTunes your default audio program, just default program for MP3s. Updated On: 7/31/08 at 03:51 AM
