I can't figure out how to add an icon photo. I uploaded a JPEG but now can't find it. So the veterans won't be annoyed by repitition, would someone PM some tips? I tried FAQ's but somehow didn't see it there either. Thanks if you can help.

If you mean your avatar pic, go to your settings. It's there. Click on browse and select the pic you want. Like an attatchment.

I used "Upload Photo", browsed and did the JPEG. What I can't find is where it's stored on BWW and how I insert it. My Settings has "delete photo" and "upload photo" only. I'm in Explorer if that makes a difference.

It's not stored on BWW like fan photos are. You don't have to upload it to the site first.

Hit browse, select the pic from your computer, and then hit upload. That's it.

I guess I'm not saying it right. I did all those steps. So where is the picture now? it's not appearing above my handle like yours is.

well, the second JPEG is working. The first one had the same process, all the way through "here's the dynamic thumbnail we've created", but never appeared. Weird.

oh, I see.

Well then I don't know what to say except that sometimes BWW gets really eratic with the whole avatar thing. Sometimes I try to change mine and end up losing it alltogether the way your describing in the process.

Maybe PM a mod and ask them to check your settings.

oh well I have a back-up, but what I'd really like to use I can't seem to get uploaded properly. Neither first choice or back-up has shirtless men. So now, how do I load pix into Fan Photos, which I assume (as it used to be) is the only way to put a pic in a thread?

Shirtless men, to my best recollection, used to be allowed in both avatars and thread inserts. Wonder what changed?

Posting in the thread is really, really easy. There are two steps:

1) Photobucket account. I use this for my personal pictures, or ones that I have saved and cropped. After uploading, select the "Direct Link" and paste it where you want.

2) Right click on an image you've come across online (through google or whatever) and select "Copy Image Location". Paste that wherever you want in your message.

That's it!

In all my years at BWW (don't let my join date fool you) I've never uploaded a fan photo.

In my former BWW Broadway Legend life, I had a few in Fan Photos, but I don't recall it being that difficult. But then again, "Who's Online" used to be on the left toolbar, and is now in the Message Inbox. Progress....?!?!?!
