Um.... it's a little more than 10 bucks an hour......
Why? Trying to figure out what your parents are paying your babysitter?
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...

Liam, it is a lot but consider yourself lucky! If you feel uncomfortable taking so much money, say something next time about it.
i ushaly get 7$/houre.i think thats alot.it wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt evry day.i guess i shouldt feel bad if thats how much they want me and thats how much they want to pay me.i never set the price and i never ask to come.
If they set that price and are willing to give it to you when you come babysit, just accept it graciously then!

i think i said thank you about 10000000000 times tonight lol
they tried other kids in the naborhood to watch him but im the best :)
Don't feel bad -- they probably wouldn't pay you that much if they thought you didn't earn it.

When I babysat for the first time I got 50 cents an hour. Of course that was ages ago!
That does seem like a lot, and if you aren't comfortable, I would ask later on if she meant to give you that much and offer to give some of it back. If you are comfortable with it, I would take it! That's a lot of money to make babysitting. I had to unexpectedly watch over an awful little boy from my church for an entire day and his parents didn't pay me. I was so angry.
I don't understand what that is. Is it dollars? If so, yes, it's a lot. Why don't you already know that?

Liam, that is an awful lot of money to be paid of several hours of "babysitting playtime." I would suggest next time you do babysit you do so for free. When she goes to pay simply say she was so generous last time, this one is on you.
But is anyone else disturbed by the bigger picture? What type of parent pays someone to play with her child while she and other family members are home? Those are family memories he'll cherish forever. I'm all for someone having "me" time but this situation is too strange for even the Dr. Phil show.
