is The American Dream overdone at college auditions?

i'm auditioning for Montclair and Kean University's acting programs and i was thinking about doing the Young Man's monologue from The American Dream as my dramatic monologue. i have no idea if it is overdone. i also looked at All My Sons and i figured that would be overdone and Chris' character is also a little too old i think.
can anyone help or give me new suggestions please? anything is greatly appreciated
