itunes question

So I put a cd into my laptop today so I can copy it into my playlist on itunes and then onto my ipod. The tracks appeared out of order on the playlist, they showed up like ( 1, 13, 3, 5, 14, 2....) on the playlist but showed up the right way on the ipod
Does anyone know how to fix this problem on the itunes playlist ??

Are the songs listed in alphabetical order?

In each playlist, there is a column for the track number, name, time, artist, album, genre, etc. Try clicking on the Album tab/button until it is in the right order. If that doesn't work, try clicking on the track number tab/button (the one that looks like a play button).
