itunes question

so.....I've uploaded some of my cds into my itunes. I've downloaded the cover art into iphoto, but unlike my PC, it doesn't seem that you copy the picture and paste it into itunes, or at least when I copy, and then go to itunes to paste there is not a paste option, and rather the picture seems to automatically move back to iphoto.

Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong and how to make it work? With my PC it was simple, just copied from amazon, and pasted)

I have a Mac, and this is how I do it: I open the info screen for the album, go to Amazon or wherever the image is, drag the image to the top-right corner so that the windows all move, put the image over iTunes until it activates, and put it in the image spot.
