Having no experience with dancing, I'd say go with athletic ones used by volleyball players.
now those are probably too bulky but thats my suggestion.

Posted: 9/20/06 at 7:08pmI've been in dances that require knee pads and I've always used the ones volleyball players use. Just make sure that they're not too bulky. Usually the ones that are just foam padding in the front work well.

Posted: 9/20/06 at 7:12pmThanks! Can they be bought in a store like Moddell's, or would I have to go to a specialty store.

Posted: 9/20/06 at 7:12pmI think you can get them through Capezio.

Thanks so much for all the help, guys!!!!
Does anyone know what would be a good temporary solution for the knee-hard choreography (i.e. taping tissues to my knees)?

Posted: 9/21/06 at 10:59amLook for "low-profile" knee pads at any sporting goods store. They are very thin and I think will serve well for dance without being too obvious under a costume. I use them myself when I play indoor volleyball. Good luck.

Posted: 9/21/06 at 11:02amyou're just bitter that no one started a knee pads thread back when it could have helped to avert your legs being cut off at the knees after the endless hours you spent kneeling with no protection.

The title of this thread is also the answer to the riddle:
