Hi all, I just moved to Boston and with an entire summer ahead of me i have been searching night and day for upcoming theater auditions. And i'm failing. Does anyone live in or around boston that knows of theater companies?
thanks!

Sure. The best way to get connected to auditions in the Boston theatre scene is through Stage Source. They provide weekly emails through which most Boston-based companies advertise auditions (as well as theater jobs, classes, workshops, etc). They also help organize an annual conference (in August or September) at which most theatre companies audition for their whole season. It's a good chance to introduce yourself to the community. You do need to officially join Stage Source and pay a membership fee to get access to the mailing lsit, but the student package is fair. Additionally, you can find some smaller community theatres at the website NE Theatre 411.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about the different companies or the scene.
