Hi everyone!
I figured this would be a good place to ask, I'm a Musical theatre student who attends a private theatre school in CT. We are soon going to be assigned a project in class which you must group up with partner or more(max of 5) and you have exactly one month to prepare a musical performance with dance.
Myself and a male friend are planing to do a coupple Duet but which one is the question. I was wondering if we could get some seguestions? The emphasis has to be on the female part since i'm the one who will be graded for this performance. He's in a different class. I'm not quite sure what voice he is but he's pretty leniant but I am a straight forward Alto to mezzo. We are considering Doll on a music box/Truly Scrumptious from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Light my candel from RENT or The worst pies in london from Sweeney todd. I'm really interested in some less popular duets. We want to do a good performance(we're in the highest rank so we have to keep up our reputation) but also want to be creative. I'm really interested to see what there is. Thank you very much! -Aseret

Posted: 11/28/05 at 6:03amHa we thought worst pies in london would be funny because in the description it dosn't state that all actors need to sing and we think it would be hillarious since she asks him 593950330 questions and cuts him off before he can say anything and it would be a good acting performance for him. A little priest is just a bit long for us. We don't want to have to cut it. I'll keep it in mind though. Thanks!
