for the past three days it has felt like i have a rock sitting in my stomach. every once in a while it will really hurt but then it goes away and feels slightly uncomfortable. i get stomach aches alllllll the time but they feel very different and aren't in the same place (they're usually in the large intestine area...at least i think...im no doctor). but im in a show right now and we open in less than a week. id like to nip this in the bud asap, but i don't know what's wrong! anyone got a clue?
thanks

LePetite, I was waiting for an LOL cat picture from you. I'm disappointed.
edit: Papa usually has witty responses for these kind of posts. He goes into his medical problems.
thank you fromage :)
i would see a doctor if i had the time!
You are fairly new to the board so whenever someone posts a thread like this- the response is- SEE A DOCTOR! You are having symptoms that can be related to so many diseases. No one on this board can give you an educated guess of what might be going on. Some of the pharmacies have minute clinics or you can go to one of the acute centers. Good luck and good luck to your understudy if you don't nip this thing!
PS. just saw your response- you really have to make the time for something like this!

First of all, I want to commend you on turning to an OT message board for medical help. It was the right choice.
In terms of your ailment, it sounds like some type of alien larva are incubating in your belly. I know it sounds drastic, but I think you should head to AREA 51 immediately. They have experience with this type of thing I'm told.

Okay.
1. You said you're not a doctor. Well, newsflash, neither are we medical professionals.
2. You want to nip this in the bud, figure out what it is and deal with it, right? But you won't make the time to see a doctor? You must be really concerned, then.
Wow.
'i would see a doctor if i had the time!'
stupid, STUPID excuse.........and the same thing my mother said for years, and now I am in Everett, WA in her hospital as she has little time left.
GO TO A DAMN DOCTOR, and quite being stupid!

Seeing that this is not a forum for getting medical advice or help, either psychiatric or physiological, I would say in all seriousness, see a doctor and make time for it.
Reading this thread I can not tell if your post is serious or not. Some of the answers definitely are not, but on the condition that you are serious about having those symptoms.... see a doctor.
A friend of mine, a woman of 32 at the time, had stomach pains for awhile. She only went to the doctor after several weeks when she realized she was bleeding internally. They had to perform an immediate surgery. They took out a cancer tumor almost as big as two fists put together. Fortunately for her, the cancer had NOT metastasized. She is still alive.
This is not to scare you. Just to tell you to take your symptoms seriously enough to see a doctor.
Yeah, see a doctor. Making time to check things out and paying attention to the problem often helps the situation by reassuring you that nothing's wrong, or clarifying what can be done to make it better. It's worth it to check out.
Stress could be causing it, which might require some diet and behavior changes, but definitely see an MD.
Be well!
