Well there are two versions...the single disc version (which is just the film), and the special edition which is 2 discs and has some great bonus features.
Without even checking Amazon, I would assume that the single disc version can be purchased for no more than $10 - it's on sale at Virgin Megastore right now for just that.
If you wanted the special edition, I would still say that amazon is your best bet. Even if you don't buy it new, you can always get some pretty terrific prices from the users on there.
Either way, you MUST own this film. It's one of the best movies ever made.

thank you very much. This flick came out when I was 16, and of course, I didn't really understand it until 20 years later. Of course, I HAVE to own it, to watch it another million times!!

It's a great film! Bob Balaban is just a kid in it. He is the one hanging out in the balcony at the Times Square Movie Theatre.

I've got the single disc. I would bet you could get it pretty cheap from amazon.com's market place.
