I don't know if that would be the right way to describe it, but songs like:

Drops of Jupiter by Train
Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve and the remix with Jay Z

any other songs like that? like a modern beat with classical undertones or orchestras?

definitely check out Ben Folds Live with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, it's a dvd, but i'm sure you can find a place to download some of the songs... i think that it's absolutely incredible, especially the song Narcolepsy...
