monologues in songs?

yes more audition help. What good broadway songs for a girl are there that contain a short monologue in them. i'm a soprano- i can hit a E below middle C and an A above high C. i have the music for Somewhere thats green- i just did LSOH at my high school but i don't know if that would be a good one or if its overdone.

I would stay away from songs with monologues in them (unless you are doing a cut of the song that doesn't include the monologue). Your music audition is your chance to show what you can do singing/acting, and your monologue audition is your chance to show what you can do with a straight peice. You want those peices to contrast, not be one in the same.

oh ok. thanks. for the audition i need to prepare two songs, an eight-bar dance and a monologue and perform in a mere 4 minutes, thought it might be helpful to have a song with a monologue in it to cut some time.
