located in astoria, queens this museum with its many stills and props and hands on exhibits is a great weekend escape. plus movies screenings are generally free with the $10 admission. cheapest double or triple features in town.

I'm a member there, but don't take advantage of the regular showings as I would like to.
I've gone to quite a few great special events though, like their Pinewood Dialogues that are screenings with Q&A's. Also been to a few premieres through them.

They have a great online exhibit on presidential campaigns in the TV age called "The Living Room Candidate". They have ads from every campaign since the beginning of the TV era.
